I like sunset more than sunrise. It's because I always have the chance to see it except on rainy seasons. I love watching sunset since it gives me the mood for contemplating of my actions for the day. For me, it's just so beautiful... :)

f

it's simple... we have different tastes among others... one can't always have to go with the majority... it's just a sense that I happened to like listening to jpop... and i happen to understand the language... actually, you can easily remember terms through songs...

anyway, they can ask such questions and i tell them simply that i enjoy listening to it... and i guess there's nothing wrong to it... ^____^

f

Isn't it nice to feel you're appreciated by a loved one? Of course, you're given a compliment that makes you more inspired about life, being a more positive person. The best one I've got is that what they all (my family and friends) tell about me: being a wonderful and happy person.

What's yours? Do you consider it of much depth to you? Does it help you know more of yourself? :)

Quote by magemasterWell, after all, i don't really think that it just makes people stupid or what, because it helps them in developing themselves. Beside, it's really a great help for them to know that it's never too late to give up on their dreams in life. But on the other hand.. they're also being used up by the ones who were responsible for these searches. They're at the same time getting a large benefit for themselves, which the fans of their programs didn't know. They didn't know that their money were just somewhat... wasted.... :nya: Um, but hey, this is just my opinion for that. ^_^

I don't like talent searches too. And you do have a point there being used up by those big heads responsible for those stuff. And sometimes, some participants who got into it don't really have the talent. Yeah I know, most people go for the face value but it's just sickening voting for their bet who doesn't even know how to sing well or act or do anything that you can call talent. I know that this can be means to fulfilling dreams but they're just making it substandard. And it's all because it's what the audience wants. And after the contest then what? I guess those promising prizes are so blinding but at least I am not.

Well I think both those searchers and some audiences don't have the right sense to do things. I guess they shouldn't call it talent search but "popularity search" :hmpf:

Quote by Anjhurinsomeone said on this thread that we don't have the right to choose who is to live or not. then if that applies in negative (abortion is suppressing one's life..... but i think it's still okay, since the free will exists), then it should also exist in positive in those ppl's mind.
by that i mean that the ppl who get their child via science, because of infertility, aren't right are they, since they make the choice that "this one spermatozoid and this one ovocyte" are to become one and live. that is deciding and not letting hazard (or god if you want) do as he please.
on the other end of the rope, i'm totally against what we call in france "acharnement therapeutique", which is the docs trying by all means to keep someone alive, even if it's a comatose state, and saying that with the help of science or with luck that person can still regain consciousness. or denying someone will to die if he can't enjoy life (like we had a case in france, a guy around 29 or smthing, who could only express himself by moving his thumb. the only thing he could do, otherwise he was totally dependant of the needles that brought nutritive elements to him..... the doc and his mother decide for euthanasia. and they're sued !! wtf, he did express his will to die)

???

Truly, those people who sued the doctor and the mother were so unreasonable because they just don't know what it feels like to be in the shoes of the patient's relatives. They even weren't there when it happened... o_0

i don't know why there are some people who are against euthanasia although it's pretty obvious there won't be any chance for the dying patient. Yeah, my religion teacher says that this is totally wrong but for me, I think it's not. This is only option left if it's the patient's last request. We sure don't want our beloved to suffer for all his/her life, right?

f

Just imagine if you are the unfortunate baby to be aborted. -Horrible.

Suicide. - Unjustifiable....
(But I don't hate those people who thinks suicide is honorable in their culture so I respect that.)

Murder/Massacre (person/people). - Inhuman.

We can consider ourselves lucky since we got to experience life, let alone pain and sufferings. But that's the point, life is everything about facing our fears and not let death be a solution to it.

Taking somebody's life is stealing God's authority over life. Any form of killing is robbing of someone's right to live and that's why we are commanded of the sixth commandment, "Thou shalt not kill".

In case of rape issues, the victim has all the unwanted effects after the incident. But the point is not to make the problem bigger. I know it's totally unfair but life doesn't end there. Although we quite understood that the baby will get all the hatred from his mother, but still we have to reconsider that the baby got nothing to do with it. The mother is hurting her child just because that child is the product of the painful experience she went through and that she doesn't desire having that child. And what's worst is resorting to abortion. This is absoultely wrong. Did the child ever wanted that rape incident to happen to his/her mother in the first place? No of course not. It doesn't mean that when you are the victim then she has the right to kill her own baby. The child is not the object of revenge. Let God give justice to that.

And if ever I myself got involved in this issues, I wouldn't find myself posting on this thread. Well, just take it for example.

I dunno if you'd agree with me but this is what I believe. Peace!

However, I'm still mushy with the issue about euthanasia. Anyone want to speak out about this? ^_^'

Otanjoubi omedetou! :)
We might have not known each other yet but I wish you have a fine day! :D

???

i see growing horns... in my head??? rofl, kidding! XD hehehehe!!!

Same here. Most especially when I was in grade school, there were many of them who ruined my life. Something like they befriend you but actually they'll do evil things to you.

I can always be a little naive, and I do trust people often. But what do I get in return? Betrayal... they left me alone, took things for granted and they judged me. I also had a screwed past and I ended up being a cold person. I always feared interactions and I became anti-social.

However, I realized that the world isn't that too cruel and there's still good flock left. Recently, I had new friends and I'm happy now that I met them because they're unlike those screwed minds before. Because of them, I am no longer afraid and alone and now I'm able to put up a smile on my face always and fortunately, build up trust once more.

But you have to be careful. It's your decision if you want to open up and trust him. Time is the right thing for this. You don't have to rush if you don't want to be burned again.

Anyways, I hope that that guy is sincere with his intentions. We might have been hurt before but we can learn from it. You migh consider giving him a chance. Good luck! :)

f

hi there! welcome to mt and hope you had some fun! :) See ya later! ;)

You are most like Starfire. A bit clumsy and innocent, you're lucky you have friends or who knows what would happen to you. You are excessively happy which sometimes gets on others' nerves. You tend to be too polite for your own good sometimes which may be depicted as snobbish. You are very nice and compassionate but you aren't afraid to let others know when you're mad, it is more of a bodily sign mostly in the eyes. You love light and try to cheer up that one gloomy person but it is like night and day. You can't help it though. You tend to be a charity case and try to help others feel less gloomy and inadvertently make it worse. You are drawn to a certain person and you are a bit...well a tad and a bit eccentric and odd. But don't worry it's your quirks that people like about you!

I can't say I totally agree but with being odd and eccentric, I guess so. ^_^'

Quote by ShiNN84Huh. I care for both. And I don't look exactly as those aspects. What
matters is if you like it or not, that's all... there can be different
reasons that lead you to like a wallpaper, personally I value both
aspects but in the end I just look at the final result. The wallpaper
has some minor flaws? I am not trashing it if I still like it and if it
has a nice concept. The wallpaper is flawless but is "unoriginal"? I am
not trashining it if I still like how everything has been executed.
This is my own point of view, of course.

Same here. Concept and technicality must work in harmony. And for the minor flaw thing, it's normal since this is what art is all about. We can say it's almost perfect, but not absolutely perfect.

Concept is a creation from the mind but the case for originality is very much needed. Of course, anything new and unique for sure leaves a striking first impression.

In terms of judging or deeper constructive critcism, quality and details are very significant factors on an astounding artwork. "Judging" is not an easy task, by the way. It's not as instant as just taking a glance or two, good judges narrow it all down. Organization, coordination, effects used, etc. This is where technicality comes in.

Quote by karaI think both are very important. The "techincal perfect" walls usually
impress me a bit more though, since it shows the skills and dedication
of the waller. Concept is also important as it shows the creativity of
the waller but good concept that's not backed with good skills will
ruin the wall. In my opinion anyway.

I also agree with kara said about having "good concept but not backed up with good skills ruins a wall." -A good concept is worthless if it ends up screwed just because he/she is not equipped with the right skills. It would just frustrate the artist because he won't be able to share that great idea with others.

But I don't mean being harsh to beginners for I'm not a waller myself. As usual, there's always an exemption to this category but I guess as time progresses, their abilities might enhance too if they really dedicate themselves to this field and with the help of trusted critics.

These two can't be separated. One needs the other to create true art. Well, this is just what I think. ;)

f

Quote by kenzukeYeah, to prevent that wallers depression I just had, I had to be more
active so people would notice me more.. >_< ... I guess that's
what I lacked.. XD

Good luck!!! :) I think it's okay for you to undergo depression stuff but don't let those shallow people bury you down. lol, They're too stupid to notice the "real thing." :nya:

Quote by jakulitoYes, we all love our country. But the government, who loves that?

:hmpf: Can't agree more. Who would love a government if majority of the officials(yeah, most of them are alike) were just using the people for their own greed? Moreover, some of them have pea-sized brains for doing nothing but dirty politics and corruption. ~_~

Quote by JheiracksA few things have been brought to my attention. First and foremost,
people have been way too damn touchy if someone new brings up an old
topic on a new thread. They are rude and frankly give the rest of us
MT-er’s a bad rap. I’m asking you guys to think before you type. The
people on the other side are people just like you and they have feeling
as does everyone else.

Well, i really don't blame them. :) Or sometimes, was it the search box? I used the search box for the topic of "cramming" and said no "results to display". So I brought up the topic then and then it was closed saying it's similar to the previous one.

Was it or was it me for typing the wrong keyword? I guess I'll just take time surfing the forums so that I won't go through this again. ^_^'

f

For a girl like me, a soft pair of eyes would always be the first objects of attraction, that makes my heart stop. Then if that person gives his sweet smile and it's intended for me, then that's heaven. ^_^'

f

Yeah it did scare me! lol. XD But were you saying that this woman has kids whom you are friends with? That is really, err... surprising. o_0

i understood that you had to go through this. Well, it's true what they say, "Being a teen isn't that easy." It's okay to have this "teen crush" you were saying, and actually, I also liked men older than me. Nothing's wrong if you have the hots for her but I guess you just leave it to your fantasies, it's a good solution for fulfilling your "teen crush." It will die down some time. You may eventually find someone of which society will accept. Good luck! :)

f

One more comment... anyone? XD

I'm writing stories too and I'm impressed by your own work. Nice plot and I like your story. Can you please go on with it?

f

Actually, it's a shame for me for I am a Catholic. I missed so many Sunday masses already. -_-
i violated the third commandment... *feels guilty* T_T But I still manage time to pray to Him everyday...
Probably, I just need more spiritual guidance. ^_^'

f

Just plain curious... ^_^

Cram... cram...

This reminds me of my high school years. Projects here, homeworks there, bundle of tests every other day. T_T During my senior year in high school, there was a time that I never had any sleep for almost 24 hours! I had to cram coz I had 3 different projects in line and the bloody deadline is on the next day! Believe me, that day before the due date, I had to go to school since I had to take a long test in English, then when I got home, I had to do the stuff. I stayed up until the next morning and I did finish all of them. *phew* But what's worst was that it was already around six in the morning and I can't afford to catch even a nap coz if I did, I still have to prepare myself for school and for sure I'd be lat.e
Following that incident, for the whole morning, I never felt sleepy at all. Instead I felt like floating in the air. o.0 Strange as it was, I dunno really why I felt like that. ^^,

I've gotten used to it. I dunno if you'd agree with me but I just love cramming. For me, it's some sort of adventure. ^_^

Had any whacky experiences? *.*

f

I read the description below it and it was made to sound like the ripper was the one who had exerted much effort on it. And it said the scan was from mt... Seriously, what a shameface. >=(

f

How things are going now? I'm curious at least to know what happened to your friend and her cuz, Barbara-san. :)

f

I dunno if this topic had existed already and I think this is anime and manga related.

I quite understood that most of the people here appreciate Japanese culture. My aunt told me that Japanese lifestyle isn't that too pleasing, talking about issues and youth problems in their country. But let's set that aside and discuss more of the positive side.

For me, the first thing why I had such liking is that because I had Japanese relatives and I was introduced to their culture ever since I was small kid. Then came anime, from old school to newbies. I find some anime cool because of kawaii characters and nice storylines. Same goes with manga. Next on line would be J-pop and (ramen, yep very much oishii!).

Please don't get me wrong. I am always proud to be me (yep, I am a Filipino and I love my culture). I think liking other cultural stuff other than your own is not that bad, right?

How about you guys?

f

Quote by zephrynI think that I prefer a sad ending over a happy one. Why? Because sad endings leave a greater impression afterwards.

Can't agree more. Talking about impact. I go with sad endings because after watching it, I had long term hangovers.
